Curating and presenting my senior collection at the end of the school year in Savannah, Georgia was a very rewarding task. The floor plan was a maze inspired by The Shining- made out of PVC pipe, cement blocks for stability, and red curtains as the walls, including a glass installation designed by myself where we hung red glass pieces in one corner of the maze to make it look like blood was rushing down from the ceiling/walls. The set design took about 4 days to create. I wanted the audience to feel a sense of uneasiness when walking through my show, to make them think what will happen next which is why I had one or two models standing in a section of the maze to give the viewer a surprise. About 200 people showed up to the event and i couldn’t have been happier.
