[ decaying structures visualize the passage of time and make us question- whether it be memories of their inescapable past or possible future. my purpose was to provide a different kind of stimuli for the viewers mind when looking at this collection. old ruins [interior + exterior] have a large background history to them- and so do we. as we grow older we possess ‘jagged edges’: such as scars, visible or nonvisible, from the damages that occur through out our lives, which make us decay in some way or another - but the beauty in those damages is the process of overcoming them and becoming stronger than you were before. mainly inspired by deteriorating castles, I decided to interpret this certain mood by using neutral fabrics and distressing them to give my collection both a structured & rough look ]
